Letter to Portsmouth Grammar School

Today we have written to the Chair of Governors at Portsmouth Grammar School in relation to their publicised event next Wednesday 4th May. The school has invited known LGBT activist Peter Tatchell and the transgender activist and author Juno Dawson to speak to children at the school, and have invited all other schools in Portsmouth to bring their pupils along.

The school has posted online about its “excitement” that these speakers are coming and encourages other schools to attend with children. It mentions the books by Juno Dawson, “This Book is Gay” which has already featured in the UK press due to parents complaining about its sexually explicit glossary of slang terms for gay sex; and The Gender Games, which encourages children to identify as the opposite sex. This book also features contributions from transgender celebrities and the drag queen ‘Alaska Thunderfuck’.

We are extremely concerned that any school would invite speakers who are known to encourage underage sex and gender ideology, hence our letter to the Chair of Governors. If any parents/guardians in Portsmouth are concerned about this, please get in touch and we can pass on your concerns to the local MPs and local authority designated safeguarding officer.
