FET Annual Conference 2024
Saturday 21st September | 10.30 AM - 4.30 PM
We are pleased to announce that bookings for our annual conference on Saturday 21st September are now open!
This year we have a new venue at the Army and Navy Club in Pall Mall, central London. Known colloquially as The Rag, it is a opulent venue and attendees can enjoy the beautiful rooms and location near St James’s Park.
Speakers
Anna is a barrister specialising in human rights and anti-discrimination law with The Barrister Group. She is a senior legal consultant to The Bad Law Project and is a Managing Partner, with Gordon Davies, of DL Law: a legal firm specialising in freedom of thought and expression cases. Anna will be speaking on ‘Indoctrination in Schools – A Legal Analysis.’
Philip is a lecturer, cultural historian and Senior Fellow at the New Culture Forum. He specialises in late twentieth century cultural history. A regular contributor to GB News, he has also appeared on the BBC and Talk TV. Philip has published extensively in the fields of history and education. Much to his professional cost, he has been outspoken against identity politics, Critical Race Theory and the activist impulse in the media and institutions. Philip will be speaking on ‘Don’t Tell Your Mum: Schools, Gender, Children’.
Concern, a campaign group she established in 2023 to oppose proposals from the Law Commission to liberalise domestic surrogacy law. She is a longstanding campaigner for the rights of women and children. Helen will be speaking on ‘Surrogacy: at home and abroad, what you need to know.’
Our three speakers will be talking in the morning followed by lunch. You can book a two-course lunch at The Rag for the subsidised cost of £35 pp or have lunch elsewhere. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, or if the weather is nice you could picnic in St James’s park nearby. There are just 60 places available for lunch, so do book asap if you wish to reserve a spot.
In the afternoon we will be launching our three latest research papers on toxic masculinity, drag queen story hour and safeguarding in the church. There will also be plenty of opportunity to socialise and network with fellow attendees and meet like-minded individuals to discuss the latest issues affecting the flourishing of families.
Tickets are £30 for non-FET members and £20 for FET members. You can join FET for just £5 in July and August, with a £15 minimum joining free becoming applicable from September onwards.
